• I am Kem Haynes, a 5th grade Science teacher at C.E. Hanna. I am happily married to my husband of 37 years, Ronald.  We have one adult son, Justin. I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and pets. Camping, fishing, reading, and cooking are some of my favorite hobbies. My husband and I attend Grace Fellowship.

I started my teaching career at CE.Hanna many years ago. My journey started as a substitute teacher when my son attended first through fifth grade at C.E. Hanna school. He was part of the only group to ever spend five years at CEH before the schools were reconfigured. I realized as a substitute teacher that I wanted my own group of students so I went back to school to finish my degree. I graduated from Jacksonville State University in 2002. My teaching career has been spent at CEH. It is a special place and dear to my heart.I will begin my 20th year when the 2021-2022 school year begins.

I love teaching children and seeing the wonder and amazement when they make the connections in learning. I want my students to love school and be excited about coming to my classroom each day. My goal is for all of my students to experience success and gain confidence in their abilities as learners and problem solvers.
