I graduated in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education P-12. I graduated magna cum laude from Jacksonville State University with special honors in music. At JSU, I was a member of the A Capella Choir, Chamber Singers, Encore! Show Choir, and Civic Chorale ensembles.

In May 2017, I graduated from Northeast Alabama Community College with an Associate in Fine Arts. I graduated magna cum laude from NACC as well. I participated in the NACC Chorus and NACC Encore! Show Choir.

August 2021 starts my first year teaching at DeArmanville Elementary School and Coldwater Elementary School! I also teach private music lessons in voice, beginner piano, ukulele, and general music!

I completed my undergraduate internship at Oxford Elementary School and Oxford High School in the spring of 2021.

I previously co-taught the percussion ensemble at Fort Payne High School from July 2015-May 2017.

From 2010-2016, I instructed and coordinated a church’s Children’s Handbell ensemble.

I have always taught music for as long as I can remember. Since 2017, I have made the Calhoun County area my home! My parents live an hour away from me with our family dog, ZIva. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, reading, spending time with friends and family, and watching various documentaries.

My Music Education Philosophy: I believe in a well-rounded education. Music is not only an elective, it is many subjects! Musicians use other subject skills when participating in music such as math, reading, science, language, and history. Having students participate in music helps in their regular core classes (there's several studies that prove this!). Studies also show that music has a positive effect on a person's mental, physical, and emotional well-being.

I personally believe that everyone has musical talent. My goal is to give students a safe environment to express themselves through music, discover their own musical abilities in the music classroom and beyond. I strive to provide an educational program that is designed to teach music to students in a way that will help them develop creativity, positive self-esteem, independence, an appreciation of diverse cultural heritages, a sense of responsibility, and valuable life skills.
