• Heath Harmon currently serves in the position of Principal at Oxford High School. He and his wife Holley have been married twenty years. They have two children, Halaya and Hudson. Mr. Harmon enjoys the many opportunities to grow and to develop professionals that are available in Oxford City Schools. He is passionate about learning and all that entails, from laying the foundation, studying data, implementing student engagement strategies, promoting creativity, and celebrating learning. With full support from his district, he has created a Teachers’ Innovation Station, where teachers can meet, collaborate, ideate, and design. Mr. Harmon enjoys staying current on educational issues and helping teachers and staff be the best they can be. He strives for all students to be successful. He believes that all means ALL. He enjoys reading and blogging and any opportunity to collaborate with other education professionals.

    Mr. Harmon has over twenty years of experience as an educator and began his career in the English classroom. He is a valuable resource to his teachers on ways to increase student engagement while increasing rigor. He instills in his staff the importance of Professional Learning Communities and implemented a schedule to allow extra time for teachers and administrators to collaborate, investigate and plan every day of the week.
