  • For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to be a teacher.  As a child, when I wasn't in school, I was playing school at home.  Education is very important to me, and I strive to pass that along to my students.  I want them to see school as a fun place as well as a place to learn something new every day.  I want them to know they are important and that each student has something to contribute to the class.  If they leave me with nothing else, I want them to feel they are special, and that school is a safe and cool place to be.

When I'm not in school, I enjoy spending time with my family.  I have two adult children, and I am glad to live close enough to them so I can see them daily and spend time with them often.  I also enjoy visiting with my nieces and nephew, who live a few hours away, as much as possible.  Traditions are important to me, and holidays are my favorite times of the year.  I am an active member of Oxford First United Methodist Church, where I enjoy working with the children and youth and participating in small group Bible studies often.
