What does history look like, you might ask? Well, you’re seeing it first hand, beginning to end. Last weekend, OHS hosted two tournaments at the same time. One was a boys JV tournament, and the other happened to be the first ever HS Girls wrestling tournament in school history.

During the event, our very own girls made history when they wrestled the first-ever all-girls wrestling match in school history! It’s always great to see people enjoy the sport regardless of their differences and to have it that brings us together.

Congratulations to everyone and thanks to everyone who attended and volunteered or worked without you this event would have been impossible! To my young wrestlers, remember if you hate losing you must be willing to do something about it and that change starts with how you’re practicing and training, and then you go after the things in your game that you can control and perfect.
