Medication at School

Policy for Medication Administration at all Grade Levels

All Medication has to be brought in and signed into the Nurse at each School along with either the Over the counter medication sheet or the Physicians Form for Prescribed Medications.
Alabama State Law does not permit any medication, prescription or over the counter to be given without this form being present for the nurse to administer the medication. 
No medication is to be sent with the student to school, if medication is found on the student it will be turned into the nurse. The parent is notified to come pickup the medication. If medication is not picked up in a timely manner. The medication will be destroyed.
