Bio:
Julia Stevens Hill is a National Board Certified Teacher who has been in the classroom for 22 years after beginning her career as an Operations Manager for a federal contracting agency. She graduated from Jacksonville State University (JSU) in 1993 with a BA in English and Broadcast Communication. She returned to JSU to earn her MSEd in English Language Arts Education (2002) and MSEd in Education Administration (2007). In addition to teaching Freshman Composition, American Literature, and Oral Communication at JSU, she teaches AP Language and Composition and is a National AP Exam Reader/Table Leader and Presenter for the A+ College Readiness Program and the National Math Science Initiative. As Oxford High School’s English Department Head, she serves as both a Faculty Mentor and Academic Advisor. She also sings with her church praise team and enjoys kayaking, hiking, and adventuring of all kinds
