Brief Biography:

I grew up in Galveston, Texas, and after graduating from college I went to work as a sports writer for the Liberty (TX) Vindicator.

Moving to Alabama in 1986, I worked at the weekly paper Midweek for five years, then contintued to work in community journalism with The Oxford Independent 1992-2014.

I enjoy reading, photography, and Civil War reenacting.
