My name is Mrs. Blackmon, and I am excited to be a teacher here at OHS! I am a Calhoun County native and graduated from Ohatchee High School in 2013. I graduated from JSU in 2017 and began my teaching career in Enterprise, AL. While in Enterprise, I met my husband, Quintin, and we got married in 2019. We relocated to Calhoun County, and we have two precious children. Walker will be 1 in June, and Loretta is due in August! We also have two dogs. We are members of Grace Fellowship in Anniston, and when we aren't working, we love to take adventures and spend time with our family! You could also find me reading new books (or shopping for them), planning home decor changes, or making new meals without a recipe! I am fascinated by the way humans work together and how all of the humanities disciplines come together to tell a story, and I love teaching because I get to love on my kids and help them learn to think critically to form and express their own opinions. I also love the role I have of helping mold them into better people. I am excited to be an Oxford Yellow Jacket and look forward to this school year!
