• Bio:

My name is Allie Wells.  I’m married to Cody Wells, and together we have two children, a daughter named Anna Collins and a son named Cannon. My husband coaches football at JSU so we are definitely a football loving family! We love taking stroller rides with the babies, going to the beach, and spending time with the littles.

    Classroom goal:

I’m currently in my third year at C.E. Hanna.  I teach ELA and Social Studies.  My goal for my students this year is to help them develop independence, improve upon problem solving skills, and help them acquire advanced listening and responding skills.  I also want to promote a physically and emotionally safe learning environment for my students to help my students achieve their academic and personal goals.

    Personal History:

I was born and raised in Monroe, Louisiana.  I graduated highschool from Ouachita Parish High School.  During this time I was also a member of the Louisiana Delta Ballet Company, where I was a principal dancer.  This is where my love for teaching started.  I began teaching ballet classes at 16 and continued until I graduated college.  I attended the University of Louisiana at Monroe, where I obtained my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.  While I was working on my degree I received the award for student teacher of the year for Ouachita Parish.  I moved to Alabama in 2017 to follow my husband’s coaching job at Jacksonville State University.  I then started substituting for Oxford City Schools and in 2019 was hired to be a 5th grade ELA, Science and Social Studies teacher.
