My name is Valerie Hamilton. I graduated from Troy University with Masters of Education in Instructional Leadership, Masters of Science in K-6 Collaborative Education, and Bachelor of Science in Collaborative Education. I am married to my best friend, Robert Hamilton. We have two boys Thomas John (3 in September) and Robert Jr. (1 in January). I have three sisters and they are all in education as well. Our parents and family are our biggest supporters, they mean the world to us. I absolutely love children and enjoy watching them grow. Teaching has always been a passion of mine; therefore, I feel blessed that God has chosen me to teach future generations.
My goal for my classroom is to create a family environment that will empower and produce self driven students who become world-wide leaders while creating a growth mindset. A family undergoes many challenges, yet they remain together as they support each other. I have always incorporated this mindset into my classroom. I believe that students must learn to support each other despite their differences.
I enjoy spending time with my family, spending time in church, supporting my husband in his military endeavours, shopping, reading and traveling around the world. I believe that life’s most precious moments are a gift from God.
I have taught for 10 years and this is my third year at C.E. Hanna. I absolutely love WRITING. I have won several writing awards and I love instilling my zest for writing in my students. I believe that education is the key that unlocks the door to success. If you can think it, you can achieve it!
