Ms. Leatherwood - 1st Grade

Hello and welcome! My name is Lyndsey Leatherwood and I am a first grade teacher at OES. I am blessed to be starting my fourth consecutive year teaching first grade for the 2021-2022 school year. 

I am an alumni of Jacksonville State University— where I graduated with a Bachelors degree in 2018. I recieved a dual certification to teach Early Childhood Education (grades P-3) and Elementary Education (Grades K-6). I am currently in graduate school, working towards my Masters degree in Elementary Education. 

Here are some things that I enjoy:

• planning for my wedding- coming December 2021!
• spending time on the weekends with my fiancé & our dog Cleo
• designing a variety of crafts/projects on my Cricut (a die cut machine) 
• spending time outdoors (pool, lake, beach— just anywhere)
• watching crime shows or movies
• drawing/doodling
