FAQs
Why did Oxford City Schools adopt this policy?
To enhance the safety and security of our students, staff, and guests, we adopted a clear bag and electronic screening policy for events held on school campuses. This proactive measure is designed to reduce the risk of prohibited items entering our facilities, streamline entry procedures and create a safer environment for everyone. Clear bags allow security staff to quickly and efficiently inspect belongings, while screening devices help identify items that may pose a threat. Our goal is to maintain a welcoming atmosphere while prioritizing the well-being of our school community.
How many clear bags can someone bring?
Each individual is allowed one large clear bag such as a one-gallon Ziploc style bag or clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bag that does not exceed 12" by 6" by 12", plus a small clutch purse.
Can attendees carry cameras, binoculars, smartphones or tablets separately from what they put in a clear bag?
Yes. All of these items are allowed so long as they are not in a bag or case. For example, while binoculars and cameras are allowed, the binocular case or camera case is not allowed.
If I have items I need to bring for medical reasons and they won't fit in the clear bag, what do I do?
We fully understand that exceptions need to be provided for in the policy for medically necessary items. Security at any of our gates are able to assist with a safe and secure search of medical items.
Are purses prohibited?
No. The policy states that a small clutch purse, with or without a handle or strap, is permitted along with either the 12" by 6" by 12" clear tote bag or the one-gallon freezer bag.
Do I have to put everything I'm carrying into a permissible clear bag?
Individuals may carry items in their pockets such as keys, makeup, feminine products, comb, phone, wallet, credit cards, etc. You may also carry a blanket over your arms, or items like binoculars and camera around your neck or in your hands. You cannot, however, bring into the stadium a binocular case or a camera case.
Can I bring a diaper bag?
Yes, a small diaper bag is allowed, and the individual carrying the bag must be accompanied by a child.
How will these new policies affect entry into the football stadium?
The new clear bag and electronic screening policies are designed to make entry into the football stadium safer and more efficient. Guests should expect a brief screening process at the gate and will need to use a clear bag for any personal items. These steps may slightly increase entry time, so we encourage everyone to arrive early. Our goal is to ensure a smooth, secure experience for all fans while minimizing delays.
Can seat cushions and stadium seats be carried into the stadium?
Yes. Any pockets on stadium seats and seat cushions will be subject to search.
Can I bring a blanket into the stadium during cold weather?
Yes. But, we ask that fans bringing blankets into the stadium toss them over a shoulder or arm to allow for easy screening when entering the stadium.
