Standards Referenced Learning

Oxford City Schools is focused on LEARNING. The measurement topics and proficiency scale learning targets communicate what students should master for success in school and in life. Students use proficiency scales to set goals and track progress on a scale of 1-4  with “3” being the goal.

Rather than averaging together all of a student’s work, proficiency based grading tracks the student’s progress toward meeting a specific expectation using a 1 - 4 scale.
