Engineering
Students dig deep into the engineering design process, applying math, science, and engineering standards to hands-on projects. They work both individually and in teams to design solutions to a variety of problems using 3D modeling software, and use an engineering notebook to document their work.
Robotics
Students will have the opportunity to be exposed to the basics of robotic applications and design. Students will research and evaluate employment opportunities and new innovations in both the fields of robotics and engineering. Students research and design robots to complete specific tasks through class competitions. This course is segmented into five main areas: Industry Overview, Engineering Design Process, Robotic Design, Introduction to Programming, and Autonomous Systems.
Credentials
All students in the Engineering Technologies Academy are eligible to earn the Solid Works Associate credential.
