Computer Science
Students can begin the pathway in ninth grade by taking Programming Foundations. In this course students will learn the basics of programming through Javascript applications. Students can then continue through the pathway by taking AP Computer Science Principles where they will learn how to program using Python and create multiple computational artifacts as well as learn how computers and the internet work. Students may then choose to continue through by learning object oriented programming (Java) in AP Computer Science A. After students take their first programming course they may also choose to apply these skills in the Cybersecurity course.
