Mrs. Michele Prince
My name is Michele Prince. I am originally from Ohatchee, but I have lived in Oxford for 20 years. My husband, Chad is a lifelong resident of Oxford and we have been married for 20 years. We have two daughters, Mileah and Cara. Mileah is 14 and a freshmen at Oxford High School. Cara is 9 and is in fourth grade at Oxford Elementary. We spend most of our free time at sporting events with our daughters (volleyball, basketball and softball). When we are not at sporting events, we enjoy spending time outside, spending time with family and enjoy traveling together.
I went to Ohatchee for grades K-12 and graduated from Ohatchee in 1995. I played volleyball at Gadsden Stated Community College for 2 years and then transferred to JSU. I have a Bachelor's degree in Collaborative Education K-6 and a Master's degree in Collaborative Education 7-12, both from JSU. I started teachinng in 2000 in the Oxford City School system at the old C.E. Hanna. In 2006, I had my first daughter and I took many years off to stay home with her. In 2012, I had my second daughter and continued to stay home with her. I came back to work full time in the Oxford City School system at Oxford Elementary in 2017-2018 when Cara started Kindergarten.
I currently teach reading and math intervention classes at Oxford Elementary for all grades and I also go into classrooms to provide additonal support to students.
I love working with students at Oxford Elementary. I love to help them feel successful and to feel like they are important at our school.
