Hello, my name is Misty Shelton. I am a sixth grade teacher at C.E. Hanna Elementary School. I graduated from Jacksonville State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education. I am originally from Heflin, and I live there with my husband and three kids. I am a lover of all things reading, Star Wars, and coffee! I am also a pet lover. I have six dogs, two cats, and two pot-bellied pigs.
My goal for my classroom is that each student feels safe and confident. My classroom is a multi-cultural environment in which students improve their reading skills and overall life skills that will prepare them for the real world.
