• My name is DeShanna Hudson. I have been a part of the Oxford City School System for 15 years with my first 12 years spent in 6th Grade ELA. This coming school year, I will begin my third year as CEH’s School Counselor.

I love spending time with my family!  I am married to Marcus Hudson, and we have one son, Karter Hudson. I am the oldest child in my family, and the only girl of five. I enjoy reading, watching movies, eating chocolate, and watching Alabama football.

I graduated from the University of West Alabama with a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education and a Master’s of Education in School Counseling.

My role as the school counselor has truly been rewarding. I am excited to be part of such a warm and dynamic community. As the school counselor, I am here to assist students with developing skills to improve their social relationships, reach their academic goals, and build their career awareness and readiness skills. Whether I am working with students individually, through small group counseling, or during monthly classroom counseling lessons, I am committed to helping every student reach his or her greatest potential.
