I have been a resident of Oxford, AL my entire life. I am a 1997 graduate of Oxford High School and a 2001 graduate of Jacksonville State University with a BS in Elementary Education. I married Rusty Gann in 2004 and we have two children in the Oxford School System. Tide is a sophomore at OHS and Harbor James is a first grader at OES. As a fmaily, we enjoy baseball (watching Tide and the Atlanta Braves), football (Go BIG O! and Roll Tide!), and spending time at the hunting club and the lake. We are memebers of and attend First Baptist Church of Oxford. We have one pet - a cat named Freddie Freeman. :) I also enjoy reading, shopping at TJMaxx, Target, and Hobby Lobby, and spending time with friends and family. I do not drink coffee! I survive on Coke Zero, yellow Laffy Taffy, and PayDay candy bars. 

    The 2021-2022 school year will be my 20th year teaching at OES! I taught second grade for 16 years before moving to third grade. As an English Language Arts (ELA) teacher, I teach reading, writing, and social studies. My mom says that I came home from the first day of Kindergarten declaring that I wanted to be a teacher and I never changed my mind. I can't imagine doing anything else!
