The Oxford Middle School Band is a program that is open to any 7th or 8th grader who wishes to learn an instrument. The 8th grade members are also a part of the OHS Sound of Champions Marching Band. These students rehearse with the high school band to learn and perform the halftime show during the football games. The 8th grade students are also a part of the OMS concert band and rehearse during class to perform one concert each semester. The 7th grade band students also rehearse during class to perform one concert each semester. Both 7th and 8th grade are able to participate in Honors Band, a concert ensemble taken to Music Performance Assessment for a grade, All-State, and Solo and Ensemble.
