Welcome to the DES Media Center! 

Our library offers a wide variety of print and digital resources to support student learning.  Destiny Quest can be used to search our current print collection. 

Our Capstone Interactive Library collection offers over 900 eBooks that students can access from any location.  BookFlix features 100 classic video storybooks each paired with a related nonfiction eBook (200 titles total). Scholastic BookFlix delivers high-interest, interactive content to engage early readers.  TrueFlix offers the award-winning True Books content to help students build literacy skills as they learn about a variety of subjects. All of the 47 True Book titles are accompanied by related content and primary sources featuring videos, audio, images, and text.

Sora is a growing collection of eBooks available to students.  Be on the lookout for more titles to be added to Sora in the future!

The Alabama Virtual Library provides all students, teachers, and citizens of the State of Alabama with online access to essential library and information resources. It is primarily a group of online databases that have magazine, journal, and newspaper articles for research. Through the AVL, an equitable core of information sources is available to every student and citizen in Alabama, raising the level of excellence in schools and communities across the state.
